Here are details about the meet coming up this Weds July 19, 2023:

LOCATION: Freedlander Pool, 400 Hillside Drive, Wooster, Ohio, 44691

STARTING TIMES:

Wednesday morning warm-ups will begin at 8:00 am for age groups 10 and under with the meet will starting at 9:00 am. 

Clerk of Courts (am session only): All 10 and under swimmers should report to clerk of Courts. (They will seat them in line for their events.)

Wednesday afternoon warm-ups will not begin before 12:30 pm for the 11 & over age groups with the meet not starting before 1:30 pm. 

SCORING: Scoring to 12 twelve places will be used: 16-13-12-11-10-9-7-5-4-3-2-1, relays are doubled.

AWARDS: Morning session - Medals for the top 6 finishers and ribbons for 7th through 12th place in both individual and relay events. Afternoon session – 11-12 Medals for top 6 finishers and ribbons for 7th through 12th places. 13 and older Ribbons for 1st – 3rd place for individual events.

ADMISSION: Free

HEAT SHEETS: Will be available for a cost of $5.00

T-SHIRTS AND MORE: Fine Design will be on site to customize your shirts.

CONCESSIONS: Concessions will be available in the Chalet. Please supervise and clean-up your area.

TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES: Each team must supply 2 volunteers for the morning session of the meet and two volunteers for the afternoon session of the meet. Please let us know if you are available to time. All timers should report to the meet management tent on the pool deck at 8:40 am and 1:10 pm for the timers meeting. 

Team Areas: Team areas will be determined by team size. Small team areas will be located at the south end of the pool and large team areas will be located at the north end of the pool.

There will be continuous warm-ups and cool downs at the north end of the pool.

Camera Zones: Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in the changing areas, rest room, locker rooms or behind the starting blocks. Acceptable camera zones include the team area, concession area, spectator area and the turn end of the competition course when not used for starts.

Deck Changes: Changing into and out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated area is not appropriate and is prohibited.

Parking: The transition between the morning and afternoon sessions is always challenging. We strongly encourage people coming to the second session to use the overflow parking at the corner of Burbank and Oldman Roads. We also ask that people enter the Freedlander Pool parking lot through the south entrance and depart the parking lot through the north entrance.
